The French film Farinelli opened up Juecheng’s mind to the legacy of castrati and the characteristic of Baroque music. Later on, the enthusiastic and vivid performances from Cecilia Bartoli inspired Juecheng to engage in early music.

He was selected to take part in master classes led by Sara Mingardo, Alan Curtis, Brian Zeger, James Bowman, Richard Jackson, Dame Felicity Lott, Simon Keenlyside, Dame Emma Kirkby, Emmanuelle Morris and Steven Rickard amongst others, presenting from intimate art songs to virtuosic arias. As a chorister, Juecheng received three gold medals in Choir Olympics held in Bremen, Germany, as one of the soloists in Guangdong Experimental Middle School Choir in 2004.

Juecheng made Wigmore Hall debut in London in May 2013. He collaborated with the Wigmore Voiceworks collective, in which he performed world premiered new music written specifically for this concert.
Juecheng was originally born in Canton, China. A combination of Eastern and Western culture provides Juecheng with a different prefecture to approach music. He attempted to use the fine and smooth falsetto to sing Chinese folk songs, for which he was grateful to be invited to perform in Xinghai Concert Hall in Canton in 2010. He also performed in People’s Congress Hall in China and Wakayma Concert Hall in Japan. This worldwide performing experience brings him a distinguished interpretation to different musical works and stimulating performances.
